This book is about
This book is set in the fictional kingdom of Danland, and it’s that time of year– the prince has to choose his bride, and the priests of the Creator God have choosen Mount Eskel- a quarrying territory- as the location for where the future princess will live.
Centered around a girl named Miri, the story evolves from all the village girls only knowing quarrying and poverty to a full scale princess academy where the girls learn conversation, poise, and diplomacy, among many other things.
But when the prince comes and goes without choosing his bride, what will happen?

I loved/hated this book because
It has such a great plot and storyline. I love how the author–Shannon Hale– puts words together.
